What Are The Rules With Cyberistting Domain Names?

I’d love to report a domain to the appropriate authorities because it is taken and no progress is being made on the website and it appears they may just be attempting to sell it for a large profit as usual. I believe I’m in a no-win situation but I wanted to inquire about my options anyway.

Help With Fraudulent Creditor – How Can I Check, What Is My Recourse?

I have been contacted by a creditor — which is odd because it is a debt that was transferred out of my name after my divorce.
But… they had all my info — name, SS, address (an old one though) and former place of business. I asked them to send me e-mail out lining the debt. I received an e-mail and after an hours worth of checking I have found out that:
No company by that name exists in the city listed in the e-mail.
The domain name on the e-mail address does not go to any website
The address listed for them is, in fact, a restaurant
My gut reaction would be to tell them to screw off but if by some slim chance this is legitimate, I need to know that (to deal with my ex wife on the matter). What is a hard and fast way I can verify if they are a legitimate company or someone who has gotten ahold of my credit information is just trying to scam money out of me.
Interesting note: when I got on the phone with them, I was not arguing at all, or disputing anything… and they just kept dropping the number — from 2,300 to 1,500 to 900 to 600… and honest to go, I was saying nothing to prompt them to do this.
Any thoughts?

What Would You Do With Binladin’s Former Website? Serious Question: What To You Do?

On September 11th, 2001 I took part in a strange coincidence: The Binladin family owned a website which (coincidentally?) expired on the same day which their son attacked the United States. What I did is write a computer program which captured the domain name the instant when it expired (late Sept). Once I had the domain name, I placed my own web server and an email server against this domain name and former Binladin website. I have captured gigabytes worth of emails which have led to a variety of news articles and TV interviews, etc – but, it has always been a curiosity and unknown part of the 9-11 story for most people. What would you do with this? I have tried to turn this into a message of peace and cooperation among all people.

I Am Wondering If Anyone Has Really Made Any $$$ With Zlio?

Okay I saw Zlio mentioned several times in answers about money on yahoo Answers.
So being somewhat cynical I have joined up and opened a pet product store pamperedpup. My kid opened a store to for selling music stuff.
I read a couple of general web reviews from googling information and they didn’t say if they made money only how easy it is to set up… 5 minutes they said…
Well that is true for basic but it takes a lot of work to complete all the modules and add product. I am wondering if it is worth it. I didn’t buy domain name becaues I am not wanting to sink any money in unless it will pay off.
It is already showing up in google which is good – along with lot of other actual websites that sell directly not like (commision of products)
Being cynical I am now wondering if ANYONE has made money from Zlio or a website that is like it?

It’s fine if the address is like me@192.168.0.1 or whatever, it’s only going to be for my use. How do I go about configuring IIS to let me do that?
P.S. No, I’m not going to buy a domain name. I know how cheap it is, but it’s not worth it for me.
