There are hundreds of email addresses in a column in an Excel file. How to copy domain parts(the right part of @, say “yahoo.com” if an email address is xxx@yahoo.com)these emails to another column? Any tips? I don’t want to copy and paste them one by one.

Would Maximizing Domain Blocking Be More Effective Than Updating 500 Blocked Addresses Periodically?

In Yahoo! Spamguard, I’ve learned that 500 blocked addresses is the limit — whether you upgrade or not. I’ve thought that it would be possible to convert the blocked addresses to relevant blocked domain names, but I’m not sure if that’s going to be worth the required effort — (ie. for example the address whatever@snotgrass.com could be changed to the domain name snotgrass.com). — I’m thinking that the only way to get that done might be manually, and that looks like quite a lot of work — UNLESS there actually is a way to automate that, some method that I don’t know about ! ! Otherwise I’m guessing that the only viable option is to renew the 500 blocks regularly, on some chosen periodic basis. Bottom line is that I’m not sure about the relative effectiveness of these two methods in fighting spam, especially since I’m not sure if there’s a way to automate addresses to domains or how often spammers switch entire domains. Which method is more cost/effective in fighting spam?
