    All those companies are registrars. Simply means they all connect to one main system, check a domain name to see if its available and then they sell it to you.

    They buy in volume and they work closely
    with ICANN, etc – so it is far cheaper for
    these meta-organizations to deal with
    them than it is to deal with individuals.
