    It stores the name in the form of IP address.
    What do u mean by manual. in a dns server a demon program passively listens to incomming http request for converting the human understandable address to ip address. this process of conversion is called resolver which is a automatic process.
    therse are stored in their files
    yes it is physical
    there is no single server in the internet.
