Does Google Analytics Work With Two Domain Names?

Hi,
I’ve just put up a website and used Google Analytics and it is working just fine. However, I want to buy a new domain name that goes to the same site, and track how many people visit that domain name, and compare it to the first domain name. Does Google Analytics track just the website, or does it track who goes to which domain name?
Sorry if this sounds a bit confusing!
Thanks!

Yes Google Analytics will let you track multiple domains. I would also caution against using a doorway site into yours. You actually can build 2 unique domains serving a common purpose.
Site 1) Is in a direct response format
Site 2) Is in a educational, unbiased format.
Otherwise I’d stick to one domain…safer that way.
    IMO,
    Good Luck

As Gfan has said you can track multiple website profiles, but as I am understanding your question you want to create another domain for the same site and also you wish to make both of them active.
But beware of this strategy this will amount to duplicate content penalty of google, so if you wish to make a new domain for the same website then you should 301 redirect the old domain to the new domain. So that only one domain gets indexed by google.

    Uhmm…
Here I’ll give you some examples:
If you have www. domainA.com and www. domainB.com, you can add them on just one Analytics account. There are separate codes for each domain.
If you have www. domainA.com and www. blog.domain.com, you can add them both as well since Analytics will give you separate codes.
You can actually add a lot of websites in Analytics, and Google will track each of them since they have different codes.
Here is the steps to add a profile:http://www.google.com/support/analytics/…
You can also check multiple domainshttp://www.google.com/support/analytics/…
Here is a pic that shows where to Add an Account. Account is where you can add a set of websites. For example a set of websites you have about Google, and another account for a set of websites about Fashion Designing. In this photo, I have 6 accounts. One of the accounts is named All Blogs which is listed first in the photo.http://www.flickr.com/photos/33030729@N0…
